Hi,

Re:  V 2003 - automatic transition with sound

I set up the show to loop continuously until 'Esc.'  The short tune repeats
itself and can continue from the last slide back to the first slide again.
However, there is a very short pause of the tune between the last slide and
the first slide.  Can I get around that?  I tried "start from beginning" and
"start from last position."  No difference.

Appreciate advice.

When you try the method suggested be sure to tick "show and return" when you
hyperlink otherwise it wont work!

To Tohlz:  Thanks.  I knew there was an article somewhere but I didn't know
where to find it.

To John:  Thanks.  Good reminder.  It was not mentioned in the article.
Good info on custom show via this link:-

To all:

When I used the transition loop method to insert sound for a looped
presentation, I had no problem whatsoever.  I only had to include a
"kick-off" slide and go the "custom show" route when I used the animation
method to insert sound. Thanks to the MVP's, I got my show running fine
(under V. 2003) now.

But I don't understand why it worked.  Can someone explain please.

Why did it loop back to slide #2 and not slide #1 even though when I set up
the show I indicated to include "all slides?"  How did the system know that
it should only loop within the custom show?  I did check "show and return"
meaning it should return to the kick-off slide.

I am at a lost.

Appreciate insight/comments/advice.

Clarification

When I said I had no problem with the transition loop method, I meant there
wasn't a pause from the last slide to the first; but the tune did restart
when the first slide was displayed.  Looks like I need a kick-off slide for
this method as well.

Correction of typo:  I am at a LOSS.

Please help me sort this out.  Thank you.

Heres my rational (maybe not strictly correct!)
Once in a custom show "all slides in a show" means the custom show.
Show and return only operates when the custom show ends ( not loops)
