Thanks, I did some testing paste spec. as a bitmap seems to be the largest
file smallest is paste spec. as a picture. If I bring in charts they hold
their color as paste spec. picture, but plain data comes in black no matter
what color my headings are. I have to bring in as a link or paste and ungroup
then group. Will I mess up my data by doing this?

There won't be any data in the PPT file ... but there wouldn't be with the paste
as picture either.
But none of these methods will do anything to harm or alter the data in your
original Excel file.
