Hi,
How do I burn a ppt file (with videos and PDFs embedded) onto a CD and NOT
using "Packaging a CD" function and still make the videos and PDFs hyperlinks
work? I don't want to use the "Pack and Go" because I need the files to be
in a very specific format required by the client.

You cannot embed PDF or video files. Put all your linked files into the same
folder as you presentation before you make the link. Then use the package to
CD function, and select copy to folder. Use your CD burning software to copy
the contents of the folder to the CD. Copy the folder contents to the CD and
your links should stay intact

Pack and Go does change the format of the files but Package For CD does not.
Two very different animals, available in two different versions of PPT.

If you have 2003, then Package for CD is worth a try; have it package to a
folder rather than to CD directly.

But if that doesn't do it, have a look at our FixLinks add-in for PPT
(http://fixlinks.pptools.com). The demo unfortunately doesn't allow you to do a
full test run but shoot me an email at support at-sign pptools dot com with
specifics of what you need to do. I can give you a better idea of whether it'd
solve your problem or not.
