Audio cut off

I have a powerpoint presentation with embedded sound files. However on one
slide, the one with the longest sound file, it cuts the audio off about 5
sec. early. The file is 1:45 in length. The slides are set up to change
manually and this still happens, so the sound stops early however the slide
is the same. Any suggestions?

Check the effects tab in custom animation.
Is the start set to "from beginning"?
