I use PowerPoint 2003 and I am working on a serious of slides that all
contain a graph. Several of the graphs have the (X) Catagory axis with
labels; in this case it is a listing of 25 countries. My problem is that
when it prints out, the text for this axis is distorted. I am using the font
"Arial Narrow" (but have tried so many with the same results) at a size 5. I
have the "Auto Scale" option checked. My alignment is set to 60 degrees and
the Offset is set to 100.
The distortion is something that I just can't seem to get straightened out.
I have tried various fonts; various sizes, Auto Scale and no Auto Scale. I
have tried different Alignments from 90 to 30 and I just can't get this to
straighten out.
Has anyone else ever had this happen to them and how did you end up fixing it?
I can send someone a copy of the graph that will maybe help explain it
better.
Thank you for any help or advice

I would turn off the autoscale, set the chart to 100%, and then resize it
while activated. See 2 and 3 at http://www.echosvoice.com/charts.htm for a
better explanation. Updating video drivers and print drivers probably
wouldn't hurt.

There may be other causes at work but one thing that can cause problem is
resizing the graph, particularly resizing it using one of the side/top rather
than corner handles.
If you need to resize a graph, don't just grab and size it. Instead,
doubleclick to activate it first, then grab the corner, size it to taste, then
click off it to deactivate it.
