Bizarre slide advancing

some of my slides with animation advance after the animation - but not on
click. have checked everything - slide transitions, triggers on the next
slide, nada. Please help!

Click Slide Show > Slide Transition. Under Advance slide, is the
"Automatically after" checked? If so, you will need to uncheck it.

Ahh, were it that easy! I've checked "on mouse click" and "apply to all
slides"  - several times, I'm ashamed to admit!  Checked for a macro, copied
all content, deleted the slide, then pasted the content to a new slide....

Could you have "kiosk mode " set in set up show?
