Thanks for your reply Steve. I downloaded the ppt2html demo and played with
it a bit. I'll delve into it more, but offhand it looks like the addin just
converts ppt to html and allows me to change the html coding to open the
hyperlink in a new window. Am I missing something?

It does a surprising amount for a small add-in. It's worth spending a little time
