I want to assign an action setting to "page up" and " page down" keys to help
run the presentation via the keyboard. Is this possible?

"Page Up" and "Page Down" are already set for navigating to previous slide
and next slide during slide shows. If you want to change that you can use
Shortcut Manager add-in from
http://officeone.mvps.org/ppsctmgr/ppsctmgr.html. Shortcut Manager allows
you to reassign the keyboard shortcuts to run your macros.
