I set the relative position of an object on the slide, but now I need to
remove the positioning.  How do I do that, so that I can move the image
anywhere on the slide?

Won't it just drag?  Or right click it to open the format object/autoshape
dialogue box and use the Position tab.

Sorry if I've misunderstood :-)
