I have created a simple ineractive presentation that has an interactive
controller that controls what slide the presentation jumps to. I have
included no graphics to keep it simple. When the presentation is run the
result is inconsistent. By using the mouse over action the result is not
reliable. Miving over the items slowly seems to work OK. If you move over
multiple action buttons quickly PPT seems to get confused. Is their any
workaround to make interactivity on a presentation reliable. Seems to be the
same on Version 2002, 2003.

You may find that changing the pointer from the default "automatic" to
"visible" helps. Unfortunately AFAIK you can only do this at the start of
every show and cannot change the default.
(Right click > pointer options)

Did that answer the question / help?
