I created a power point at the office, emailed it to home and clients.  5
slides are blank....the original content - Title body text is gone.....empty.

How do I get the orginal slides back?

You're using PPT 2003, right? On the problem system, go to Help|Check for
Updates and install the latest service pack (currently SP2) for Office 2003.
That will resolve the "missing content" issues.

You may need to apply updates to the office computer, too, then.

What exactly is missing? Is it like Excel spreadsheets or other stuff that
could be linked?

I'm wondering if the blank slides are coming from linked files that aren't
available on your home computer (but are at the office). However, you
originally said "title body text is gone," and that's just plain bizarre if
text you typed onto the slide has simply disappeared.

Just as a double-check, can you go to Help|About and tell us what it says
after Microsoft(R) Office PowerPoint (R) 2003? For example, mine says
(11.6564.6568) SP2.

Well, it seems the service pack didn't get installed, then, otherwise you'd
see SP2 at the end of that line. So I'm back to suggesting installing the
service pack as being the fix. Head to http://office.microsoft.com and hit
Check for Updates (upper right). Install SP2 for Office 2003.

I am trying to install the SP2 for office 2003.  I come up with an
installatio error: file not found
A required installatio file SKU017 could not be found.

Original installation source required:
When asked this, I put my original Windows XP professional disk in - which
states "includes service pack 2" and it could not locate the missing file on
the disk or my computer, so therefore could not download the update requested.

Try giving it the Office installation CD instead of the Windows CD. It might
like that better....

You need to insert the Office installation CD, not the Windows XP
installation CD.
