I am using PowerPoint 2003.

Does PowerPoint have an automatic back-up like Word does?
If so, where would I find it?
If my computer shuts down, is the automatice back-up lost?

Tools, Options, Save, and set your information into the auto recovery window

Mike - Thank you for answering.  I thought that is what I had set up the
automatic
backup for every 10 minutes.  But I could not find the back-up.  I have been
working on a PP presentation for 2 hours at least - and can not find the
backup.
In the save location noted in this area which is where I save all of my files.
Any idea where else it would be?
Aurora.

Keywords Auto Recovery. When you save your presentation and exit PowerPoint
the backups disappear. What you might want to look at Shyam's Sequential
Save addin for PowerPoint. http://skp.mvps.org/seqsave.htm
