Go to Slide Show --> Set up show and see if there is something other than
the full show set to play. Options might be that the presentation is set to
play a custom show or the presentation is set to play only specific slides
within the file...

Thanks for info. I went to "slide show: and to "set up show". It is not set
to custom, and "show slides" is set to show slides 1 to 48
