On a PowerPoint slide show, I cannot seem to get sound from music

The presentation has nine slides. There is a song for each slide, played
in it's entirety. I only seem to be able to get sound from only two slides
and I don't know why the others won't cooperate. All songs were optained from
Media Player.
     I want to eventually convert this presentation into a screen saver but
its useless until I can get the music to play

When you say from Windows Media Player can we assume you ripped a CD?  If so
some of the songs may contain Digital Rights Management and can NOT be used
in PPT.
