Problems renaming master slide

For our company I have created a powerpoint template with two
individual slide designs.
I want to name them "Scientific Presentation" and "Commercial
Presentation". This is easily done in the Slide Master View, but when
saving the template, the primary design template is renamed to whatever
the presentation is called. So everytime the presentation is saved with
a different name, the slide master is named this as well.
I want to keep the original slide design names intact in order for our
employees to select the most appropriate design.
How can this be solved (if at all)?

You need to save the template as a template. Save As > save as type = design
template.

Once you have done this apply to a presentation and save it. You may need to
use the browse command at the bottom of the design pane.

In the design pane you should now see both designs in "used in this
presentation" and when you hover the mouse the names should appear.
