Maybe it is just me but could you rephrase your question, what do you mean
exactly by programming the date feature.

You will have to do this in a graphics program like PaintShopPro, or
Photoshop

If I understand you correctly, you mean that you set up your digital camera to
include the date in the pictures.
If that's correct, it's not something you can do in PowerPoint. You'll need to
open each image in an image editing program and remove the date there.
Or you could crop the date out, either in PPT or in the image editing program.
