PowerPoint 2007 slow text entry...

Hello,
I viewed another thread on this earlier and I was wondering if there
was a resolution to this issue or if we just need to be patient and
wait for a new release of the beta?

That is that the text entry is painfully slow in PowerPoint - there
seems to be a few seconds lag and sometimes it just appears to hang
when you try to place your cursor in a new location.

I have done all the tasks suggested, such as turn off anti virus,
delete all the temp items, turn of journaling but this has not helped
at all with text entry into PowerPoint 2007.

I read in another thread that there is a CPU spike whenever a word is
typed in PowerPoint. This indeed was the case for me. Infact typing a
single word sent a spike hitting 99%.

Just incase you are wondering my PC is suitably spec'd and I have no
other problems with other 2007 office apps.

Thanks,
Sharon

I am not aware if any workaround.
