want to put a password on my presentation but the ''password to open'' and
''password to modify'' ( tools/options/security )is disabled , how can i turn
it on ?

You haven't told us which version of PPT?

Try:

Tools > Options. Choose the Security tab at the top

Look in Tools > Options > Edit, see if password protection is disabled in new
features.
