When I go into the "Edit color scheme" and customize my colors, there is a
line for "Accent". What does "Accent" mean? I understand about the hyperlink
option, but I just can't figure out what the option for Accent is for.

Hi,
Not sure but it seems to affect the color of graphs. See here:

The accent colors are chosen to harmonise with the fill / text colors and
contrast with the background. They are the "suggested" colors for second etc
fill colors and charts will use them by default. Following the color scheme
also allows easy global color changes (by changing the color scheme)

Did that answer the question / help?
