I have a MS Project plan, which contains many activities and many
milestones, the management want to see a single page view of the
milestones only, the only way to achieve this is to roll up the tasks
so that they appear on a single line and then transfer to adobe and
then insert page in power point,

but this does not meet the need, what i really want to do is have the
tasks moved automatically when a slippage occurs and still maintain the
ability to edit the position of the name etc . (so that the names are
not overlapping)

i have examples of what i currently have, and am happy to send them to
you if you can help.

Have also tried export to excel, and then creation of timelines in
visio, but have the same issue i cannot connect them to the original MS
project file.

Try Insert|Object|Create from File. Click the link button there.
