Let's try this again...

I need to make "mouse-over highlights" last longer.

Currently they last about a second or less than a second. I would like to
maintain the highlight for as long as the mouse is hovering over the object.
Or at least increase the highlight time to 2 seconds.

AFAIK theres no way to do this. Why do you need it, maybe you could add a
screen tip text pop up say "you're pointing at me!" which will stay as long
as you mouseover or if its really important do a mouseover hyperlink to a
duplicate slide with the highlight added. In the second case you would need
to add a transparent shape outside the shape to hyperlink back.

Did that answer the question / help?
