Hi,

Can someone please enlighted on how I can view markup during slide show.  I
have tried "View Markup" but it shows the markup only in the Normal View but
not during slide show.  I am using PowerPoint 2003.

Thanks

You can't, markup is a tool for use when reviewing / editing

Did that answer the question / help?

Hi John,

Thanks for your comments.

I used to be able to view comments (called markup in newer PowerPoint
versions) in earlier version of PowerPoint and find it strange that I cannot
do the same on the newer versions.

You're right.  Through PPT2000, comments could appear in slide show view.
MS changed the way comments work in PPT 2002 and onward.

If you create comments in 2000, then they'll appear in slide show view, even when
you play the show in 2003.

There's a feature in our PPTools StarterSet Plus (http://starterset.pptools.com)
that allows you to convert PPT 2002/2003-style comments to old-style comments.
Once you do this, they appear in slide shows.  The "Plus" version is a $20 upgrade
to the free basic StarterSet.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I downloaded the demo version of PPTools StarterSet Plus as suggested, tried
CTRL+Add Comments and also CTRL+Convert Comments but nothing happened.  Is it
because my version of PP is PP2003 and this demo version doesn't work on it?

Two things:

- Minor thing:  You don't need to use the CTRL key (though that won't stop it from
working)

- Main thing:  as I mentioned, the comments feature's part of the "Plus" version, not
the free StarterSet.  As I *didn't* explain, that means that this particular feature's
simply not there in the free version; there's no demo of it.  Sorry for the confusion
over that.
