I'm new to PP and trying to create my first slide show. My problem is
that in normal view and slide view the image size is fine, however when
I play it as a slide show, the image size seems to double.
I'm obviously missing something, can someone please advise how I can
reduce the image size when it is shown?
TIA

When creating a new slide, you will see the basic slide on the display.
This display is usually in auto-zoom display mode.  If you insert an image
that is larger than the slide shape, than the zoom will adjust the display
to show the entire picture.

To fix this, grab one of the corners of the image you inserted and drag it
down to the size of the slide.  When the image is smaller than the slide,
start the slide show and the entire image should be see.

Think of the slide image as a window into the presentation.  Anything that
hangs over the edge of the slide outline will not be shown in the slideshow.

Willy:
Want a sneaky trick for sizing the pictures? Click the picture to select it,
then right click it and bring up the format box. Go to the size tab. Set the
width or the height to the size of your slide and click the lock aspect
ratio. Click OK. Your picture will now be the same aspect ratio but full
size to the slide.
