How do I download a PP slide show to a flash drive or to a portable external
hard drive, rather than to a CD?

When you plug in your flash drive, it should show up as a removable drive
with a letter for the next disk drive in line. If you have a CD, it will
more than likely show up as drive F: Once you have it plugged in, just copy
your presentation form you HD to your flash drive.

Do you mean sort of "package for flash drive"?

You can package for CD (or pack n go) choose the save to folder option and
then drag the CONTENTS of the folder onto a flash drive.

I'm assuming you know how to copy the presentation file to the drive, but
really need to get it to run from the drive as a slide show?

Udo Schneider just posted a link to what seems like the perfect little (free!)
utility for you:
