Producer runtime error

I just downloaded Producer; when I try to capture audio, I go through all of
the steps and they work fine until I get to the point where I should record
the narration and the slide shows in the upper left hand corner - at that
point, I get two runtime errors 316 and 47; I click on NO to debug and I can
then record but when I click on advance to the next slide or next animation,
the slide in the upper left corner does not seem to change.

Does anyone have any suggestions of the problem?

The first thing I would do is confirm that I had the latest sound card
drivers for the sound card on the machine.

I would also try different (lower) hardware acceleration parameters for the
sound card (in the control panel applet) -- though this is usually just a
playback issue.

Thanks for the try but it did not work; I checked all of the drivers and they
are up to date. I guess I am not sure I understand why/how the sound card
would impact on not even being able to advane the slides (when I click on the
icon to ADVANCE) when I am in capture mode.

It sounded like the error might have been recording input related - hence
the advice to check the sound card.

All I can suggest is to try a different strategy -- record the audio
separately (outside Producer), then import it into Producer and add the
change points in Producer.

I have not seen anything like your problem (but I must admit in all my
productions media is prerecorded and imported into Producer).

Hi there,

I know this thread is old, but I am wondering if you were able to ever figure
it out because I am having the same problem.

Thanks,

Susan
