I saved a powerpoint to my flashdrive, and then when I try to delete it, it
says 'file is write protected'. How do I delete it, then?

When I insert my falshdrive and it has a letter assigned as a drive, I can
right click it and "Format".

Some flash drives have a write-protect switch/lock on them. See if that
switch is positioned on the "protect" side. Turn it on the
"unprotect"/unlock/open side and see if that works.
