I want to prepare a stacked column chart. Each bar or chart would have two
sections, the bottom part in blue and the top part in yellow. There are a
total of six bars/columns. The second, third and fourth bar/column needs to
NOT show the blue part of the bar - it must look as if there is nothing
there. (The yellow part shows the incremental increase from the first to the
second, third and fourth bars).
How do I make only a part of a stacked column/bar chart not show?
Just format the blue part to have no line and no fill. Fight-click a blue
bar and choose Format (or double-click) to open the formatting options for
that series. Then you can click once and click again on the first one to
re-set it to have a blue line and fill. Or do the opposite and individually
set each of the other three to no-line/no-fill.
