Hi

Right click a slide and choose background, in the drop down box below the
"picture" choose "fill effects" and click the picture tab
"Select picture" - navigate to your pic and then OK out.

Click "apply to all"

You should consider whether text will show up against the picture. You couls
eg go to the master slide and use the washout command on the picture toolbar
or just choose a good contrasty colour for the fonts

Hi ,my question regards bringing pictures into a power point presentation.
When I go to  Insert, Pictures from file, and bring the pictures into the
presentation, they are too large for the slide. I tried to right click on
format piccture, then size, and tried to decrease the size, but when I click
O.K., the picture dissappears completely!
There are about 30 pictures like this in the presentation. How do I bring
pictures in ,and automatically have them "fit to size, in the slide
presentation?
please reply to  shoshana007@yahoo.com
thank you,

First, if there is anyway you can edit the pictures before you put them into
PPT - try that. It is the better solution.

If you have to do the resizing in PPT, then do what you are doing. When the
picture "disappears", zoom out. It hasn't really disappeared, it has shrunk.
PPT will keep the upper left corner in place and shrink the picture up to
that location.  Once you zoom out, you will find the picture and you can
drag it down to the right place on the slide.

Another option is to add the pictures as a photo album. Tell us your version
and we can fill in how to do that.

When I bring pic from my files into PPT, I just resize them with a corner
handle.
