Presentations being the primary, People use them for Photo Albums, on-line
tutorials, and even newsletters, although there are better programs out
there for this. You just have to browse through the newsgroup to see and
hear what people are using PowerPoint for.

I use PowerPoint for interactive tutorials and quizzes. Anything beyond the
most simple quiz requires VBA. See examples at my site:

It can be a good tool for creating web content ( a different type of
presentation, I suppose ).  Not entire sites, but certainly for putting
presentations ON sites.

We have customers who merge data from spreadsheets into PPT to create online
catalogs and that sort of thing also.

I use Powerpoint on my church projection system to display hymn lyrics,
scripture, sermon notes, and anything else that can be displayed inside of
powerpoint (ie: movie clips) for a church service.
