Suppose I have a slide with two bullets:

* Line 1
* Line  2

In the slideshow when I click with the mouse once only "Line 1" appears.
When I click again "Line 2" also appears.  I want to keep this behavior but
with the first click I additionally want "Line 1" to be displayed in red.
After the second click I want "Line 2" to be displayed in red but "Line 1"
now displayed in black (this emphasizes each new line as it appears on the
screen.)

Any idea how to do this?

TIA,

Bill

Double click on the textbox, then change the font color to red.
Ok your way out.
Now, click Slide Show > Custom Animation.
The appear effect should be added already.
Double click on the appear effect to bring up the effect option dialog box.
Under After animation, click on the dropdown field and select black color.
Ok your way out.
Preview the slide show and see if that is what you want.
