I have a number of presentations with charts that I copied and pasted from
Excel. I now want to go back and add links so that someone viewing the
presentations can click on a link and open up the Excel file that contains
the chart. Is there some way in VBA to get the name of the source Excel file
for a chart on a slide?

If I can get the name of the source file, I can write code to go through my
presentations and add the necessary links.

Jim,
Probably not at this point since you have embedded the charts in PPT.
It no longer carries any reference to the original file or the
original path of the file.

Thanks, Brian. I won't waste any more time trying to figure out how to get
the file name if it isn't there to get.
