As I read through all the posts in this newsgroup and see all the requests
from folks to be able to convert a presentation to video format (ie: mpg), I
wonder if the inventors of Powerpoint envision a utility inside Powerpoint
that will allow conversion to mpg or avi.  I think it would make a lot of
users of Powerpoint much happier.

Just my $.02 worth,
Dave

In a way already out there, written by Microsoft and it is free.  It's
called Producer and can be downloaded for "legal" users of PPT XP and 2003
from:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/powerpoint/producer/prodinfo/default.mspx
(watch URL wrap).  It won't do full screen PPT but it will allow narration,
video, etc included with the slides.
