i've create a slide show , the images look fine when  I open the file, but
when I start to play the slide show the quality of the pictures is gone, they
have a "solorized" look , it is all washed out.  i check resolution and set
it to 16 bit but nothing seems to change , what else can i try?

Try setting your color depth to 24- or 32-bit.

Are you running the presentation on a monitor or via a projector?
