I am using PowerPoint 2003 (11.6564.6568) SP2.  I want to create a callout
box that has "arrows" pointing to each of 3 different locations on the slide.
The purpose is to insert explanatory text about a particular task that I
want to show.  I can only find ways to create a single-pointer callout.

Please help - Thank you.

Hi Jay,

What I've always done in this situation, is to create a group of callouts,
stacked on top of each other. Only the body of the top callout shows, but
the pointers of the other callouts extend beyond the body of the callout to
point to different location. If you're really particular, you can even
create small borderless boxes of the same color, to remove the portion of
the border from the top callout at the various points from where the lower
callout pointers extend.

It's a kludge, but it does the job. If there's a better way to do this, I've
never seen it, but I'll certainly be interested in hearing any better
solutions.

Hope this helps,

You could also create a single text box containing your text, and then draw
seperate arrows from the text box to the appropriate location on the slide

You can easily draw custom callouts using the freeform tool in autoshapes >
lines
Then add a text box and group

Did that answer the question / help?
