I am trying to make a presentation for medical students and would like to
place in the presentation slides depicting several medical conditions. How do
I take a picture from the internet and place this in my presentation? Thanks
in advance for you time.

You can right click on the picture, then click Save picture as. Save the
picture to your desktop or folder of your preference.
In PowerPoint, click Insert > Picture > From File.
Look for the picture and click insert.
Remember to seek permission from the respective webmasters before using them
for your presentation.
