Are there any options/prefs/tools to prevent automatic operations in
PowerPoint?

Examples of problems:
- copy-paste of picture resizes automatically all images, also a title pop up
- paste special of text always starts with HTML format. can it be changed to
start with any of options e.g. Unformatted text?
- text boxes act in very confusing ways: when typing more text the box
sometimes does not extend downwards, sometimes it extends upwards (cursor
position staying stable)
- saving file should be predefined to open e.g. a certain folder. Now it is
always the last one saved.

I would like to define my own preferences to above mentioned topics. Is it
possible?

You can change this sort of thing in Tools > options
or Tools > autocorrect options
Signature

eg Tools > options> save tab - default save folder
Tools autocorrect options > untick automatic layout

Did that answer the question / help?

What John said.

No way to change the order or defaults, I'm afraid.

That'd be the text box's anchor position.  Rightclick in the text, choose
Format AutoShape or Textbox or whatever at the bottom of the pop up menu.  In
the Text Box tab of the formatting dialog box choose a different Anchor Point.
Sounds like you want Top or Top Centered.

Try Tools, Options, Save tab, Default File Location.
