I have around 1100 images for a multi hour slide show on a trip that a few
of us went on.  Is there a way to change the placement of slide #115 to
#148?  I know I can drag it but it's really bogging down the time it takes
me to do it.  Is there another method I can use?

TIA

How about this?
Right click on slide #148, select cut.
Now scroll to slide #114, select Edit > Paste.
