Luigi,
This is the problem with DivX, the various versions don't play well
together. What you may have to do is remove all Divx apps, download and
reinstall Media Player to reset all teh codec associations, and then install
the older DivX codec.
As an alternative you may want to give PFCMedia or PFCPro a shot. (Free
download so it won't cost anything to try it.)
