Hi all!

Situation : Powerpoint 2000 installed on a Windows 2000 Workstation PC.

Problem : When I doubleclick on a .ppt file, it opens a blank
powerpoint project.
This happens with any .ppt file on my PC.

I tried to reinstall Microsoft Office with no success.

I also tried a "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Powerpnt.exe"
/regserver with no luck either...

Any idea?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Try this:

Start PPT
Choose Help, Detect & Repair
Let it run its course

Unfortunately, this doesn't help...

Thank you for your help.

OK, next you'll want to work through the steps here (other than the suggestion
to run Detect & Repair, of course)

It's working !

The problem was a file association misconfiguration.
(in 'advanced opening settings' -> "new" instead of "open").

Thanks a lot !
