Geoff Cox,
Are you linking from pres (a) to pres (b) then to pres (c) etc ?
If so you will have lots of files open at the same time.
The trick is to have
Pres (A) call up pres (b), Pres (b) quits/ends passing control back to Pres
(A), which then calls up Pres (c)... repeating the process.
That way only 2 presentations (pres) are open at any one time.

Thanks - have tried the sample out but I guess not for me as not
possiblefor user to select from a list of ppt files?
Can I make each ppt file close after it has been used?
