I have multiple text boxes on a slide. I want to enlarge one of the text
boxes at a time - which allows the audience to focus on the specific text and
will allow me to add more text to this specific box - is there a way to
transition this without making a new slide each time ???  THANKS!!

Which version of PPT? This is fairly easy to explain in PPT 2002 or later,
harder for the earlier versions.....
