Does anyone know if content controls (as currently in Word 2007) will be
featured in Powerpoint 2007? I'm battling to find info on this on the net.
The only mention of this is on MS's Powerpoint Product overview site
(http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/programs/powerpoint/overview.mspx):
"Using content controls, you can create and deploy structured Office
PowerPoint 2007 templates that guide users into entering the correct
information"

Alas, nothing of the sort in PPT 2007!

Thanks in advance!

Hey Rouxb!  (Isn't that what Louisiana carnies yell at the customers and other
nouxbies?)

This should give you a few more things to check:

http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?q=%22content+control%22+powerpoint&l=1
&mkt=en-US&FORM=QBME1

It all seems pretty vague as to how far PPT participates in this feature.

Update from a trusted/knowledgeable source:  The page you found is wrong and
will be corrected.

Word has custom content controls but PowerPoint does not/will not.

Sorry for the bad news, but an answer is better than none.

What Steve said.

But if your goal is to create templates that have "add XYZ info here" and
"add ABC info here," then you can do that in PPT 2007. It lets us type in
our own prompt text in the placeholders. (Woohoo! Love this feature!)

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I guess I'll have to invent my own way of
limiting user input to a specific range as per content controls... :-s
