In PowerPoint I want to put a header and footer in the Notes and Handouts
tab. I can't get this to work. I had to go to the Slide tab and use that.

Go to View > Master > Notes Master
Then View > Header Footer

Check the appropriate Header/Footer and type in text as needed.

You won't see this text on your Master slide, but you can move and format
the corresponding placeholders as desired.

Is that what you're looking for?

You might find it easier to go to the notes (or handout) master and type
directly in the <header> or <footer> area

Did that answer the question / help?
