Thanks for your reply! The print queue is clear. This is a problem I've had
for a couple weeks now and I try it now and again and always get the same
error. Even after getting the error, I can copy a slide from PowerPoint,
paste it into Word and print from Word fine. I'm using MS Office 2000.
Here's the error message I get:
"Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup. Try
one of the following:
* Print a test page - (this works)
* Make sure the printer is on (it is)
* Reinstall printer driver (tried that)"

Dang.
Out of curiosity, what type of printer is it?
Is the printer driver installed locally or on a network server? Is the printer
itself on a server or some kind of print server network box? In other words,
anything different from the usual "My computer, my printer attached to it"
situation?
Have you tried completely uninstalling the printer driver first, then installing it?
I used to get this same message or one very much like it with one of the printers a
while back and that was always the fix. Had to do it ever couple of months.
