Slide Design Order

I was wondering if there is a way to set the order that my master slides
appear in the Slide Design Taskpane.

Currently, I have my master slides set up in a particular order... from top
to bottom they correspond to the same order that the slides are seen in the
presentation.

Unfortunately when I want to apply a Slide Design to one of my slides, the
Taskpane shows all of my master slides out of order.  I have over 16 master
slides to chose from... and I want to make sure it is easy for new people to
find their way around the presentation while editing.

I cannot click and drag the Slide Templates in the Taskpane like I can when
I reorder slide in Master View.  How can I put things back into a sensible
order?

You need to rename the slides choosing names which will put the slides in
alphabetical order. Then when you open the pres they will appear in this
order in the design pane. AS LONG AS they have been used in the presentation
they will be in the recently used section in this order
