I have placed action buttons that hyperlink to slides further down in the
presentation, but do not know how to get these action buttons to activate on
a double click.  Right now you have to right click on an action button and
select "open hyperlink" to activate it.  How can I get the action button to
activate on a simple mouse click?

Action buttons are generally intended for use in Slide Show View, not
Normal/Edit View. It sounds like you are trying to activate them in
Normal/Slide Show View. View the slide show, and they should work fine.
