Hello,

Is it possible to have a sound when an action button appears?
(Entrance/dissolve)

I cannot get this to happen. I have chosen play/sound but this happens
when the button is clicked - I would like the button's appearance to
kick off the sound.

Cheers

Geoff,
Apply an entrance effect on your button. Double click the entry in the task
pane. On the first tab click next to sound and choose your sound.

Many thanks Luc - I didn't know about the double clicking part!

Any ideas on how to use VBA to add this effect to existing action
buttons without affecting other animation on that slide? (problem re
use of AnimationSettings with recent versions of PPT etc)

Cheers

Geoff,
VBA is not really my cup of tea, Geoff, but I am sure some of the other
MVP's will jump in and help you out.
