MS Office Forum / General PowerPoint Questions / October 2006100% CPU Usage
Does anyone else experience high CPU usage when you are running PowerPoint? I have not experienced this before with Word or Excel which I use on a regular basis. I started to use PowerPoint more, but when I use it the CPU usage seems to spike up to 100% and get hung up there for a few. Any suggestions. This is Office 2003 running on Windows XP (media center edition) Thanks Carrie I've had that problem in the past, particularly with PowerPoint (mainly, though, because I use PowerPoint a lot). In my case, it was a problem that got worse over time and turned out that the hard drive had gone bad.
