Autoshapes

Whe I use the drawing menu and go to 'Autoshapes' > 'More Autoshapes ...'
nothing happens and PowerPoint freezes. Is this a common problem and how can
it be overcome.

No one has answered yet, so I'll just tell you it's not a common problem.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix it. You can try the usual stuff,
such Help > Detect and Repair, Help > Check for Updates, and finally
reinstalling, but I don't know if any of this will work.
