Hello -
In my Powerpoint presentation I have an Autoshape that I have formatted to
be black. On top of that I have place an image (bitmap) that has a black
background. On-screen, and in print preview, the black colors are the same.
However, when I print the slide, the Autoshape comes out as a "faded" black -
really more of a dark gray. How can I get the Autoshape to print in a true
black?
If someone has the answer, it would be wonderful if you could email it to
ericd81@hotmail.com (for some reason, the text of all the posts on this forum
does not show up in the text box).
Thank you very much!

Check your printer settings. If it's set to do any sort of color
correction/enhancement, it may treat bitmaps and vector graphics (your
autoshape) differently, which'd account for what you're seeing.
Another dodge:
Select the autoshape and press Ctrl+C to copy it to the clipboard.
Choose Edit, Paste Special, as PNG
Delete the original autoshape, replace it with the newly pasted PNG.
Now try printing.

Brilliant with the PNG "dodge" - worked perfectly. I couldn't modify the
printer settings since it's a network printer. Thanks much!
